Bio
Zachary Gatti is a graduate of the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration in Boulder Colorado. His background also includes years of private instruction with 1st generation Rolfer & Aston-Patterner, Harvey Ruderian and training in Shiatsu-Anma with Dr. D. T. Kaneko. Since 1999 he has accrued more than 2000 hours of training in Manual Therapy.
Zac is currently a student at the Canadian College of Osteopathy. His ongoing studies have included courses with some of the world's authorities in the field of Manual Medicine, Viola Fryman, DO, FAAO, Philippe Druelle, DO, Genevieve Forget, DO and Jean Guy Sicotte, MD, DO.
In 1995 Zac began practicing Hatha Yoga and meditation to overcome a generally debilitating lifestyle. Learning to let go and allow his body to open changed how he experienced life. That molting process led him to understand the body as a powerful vehicle for personal and spiritual growth. It became clear that health is a state of being which comes from within.
His approach to Manual Therapy integrates a number of different techniques adapting the work to best address each individual.
Soft tissue normalization. Myofascial Release, Strain Counterstrain, Muscle Energy and deep tissue techniques are used to release patterns of strain and tension through connective tissue network.
Joint mobilization. Direct articular corrections and indirect joint mobilization work restores natural motion and relationship of skeletal structures.
Dynamic Spinal Normalization mobilizes and balances the vertebral column. Addressing each individual vertebra, its role in the whole spine and overall physical structure.
Intra-osseous work to release tensions held deep within the bones form traumatic impacts, breaks and/or long term strain. Bone is living, adaptable tissue that will hold tension just like the softer tissues.
Cranial- Sacral balances the tissues, fluid and bones around the central nervous system and their influence on the body as a whole..
