The Cranial Bones

The average adult cranium is composed of 22 different bones. These bones retain a degree of micro-mobility (100th of an inch) throughout life to allow a subtle internal movement to be expressed

One of the goals with Cranial-Sacral work is restore natural motion to these structures. With "thinking, feeling, seeing, and knowing fingers" the practitioner dialogs with the tissues and the body's inner physician to restore their natural motion. The process helps the nervous system relax and fluid to circulate without restraint. This type of local release has a profound influence on the whole human being.

"The cerebrospinal fluid is the highest know element that is contained within the human body, and unless the brain furnishes this fluid in abundance a disabled condition of the body will remain." - Dr. Andrew T. Still O.
